As many of you know, all our flights were with Skyteam airlines. This means you can claim miles, which can be traded for prices, such as free tickets. Unfortunately, it is not enough miles to fly to London for free, which we first expected. Nevertheless, here is the info to claim your miles (this should be done within 6 months after the flight took place):
- Go to http://www.klm.com/travel/nl_nl/index.htm and create a Flying Blue account (left).
- Go to ‘Claim miles
- For our KLM flights, you can just enter your flight information in the online form (the ticketnumber and other information is available in the document below).
- For our other flights, you need to send a form to KLM and include your boarding pass.
Note that the ticket numbers from China Southern (Shanghai-Shenzhen) are for the wrong flight. The right number can be found on your boarding pass.

De laatste dag van de reis werd vooral gebruikt om uit te rusten en om souvenirs te kopen. Voor het eerst in een lange tijd hoefde de wekker niet gezet te worden en konden we slapen tot we wakker werden. Een aantal ETV’ers waren in de stress, want ze hadden nog niet genoeg souvenirs verzameld om mee thuis te kunnen komen. Gelukkig had de reiscommissie deze dag voor ons gereserveerd, om souvenirs te kopen. Bovendien was Nakamise, de grootste souveniersmarkt van Tokyo, om de hoek. Verder hebben sommige de imperial gardens, de markt van Ueno, Akihabara en Harajuku bezocht.
Ook deden we ons te goed aan Japanse lekkernijen, zoals okonomaiyaki, Ramen soep en natuurlijk sushi in traditionele Japanse restaurants. De volgende ochtend moesten we weer vroeg uit de veren om onze vlucht te halen, dus lagen vrijwel alle ETV’ers vroeg onder de lakens.
